LSE PhD Scholarships for UK/EU and Overseas Students in UK, 2014

The London School of Economics and Political Science is offering 59 full scholarships for new PhD students. Scholarships are available for Home UK/EU and Overseas students undertaking full time research in any LSE discipline. The studentships cover fees and living expenses of £18,000 each year for four years. Studentships will be awarded on academic merit and research potential. There is no separate application form for these awards. The selection of students for these awards will be based on the PhD application to the School.

Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship for International Students in Netherlands, 2014

University of Amsterdam is offering excellence scholarship for international students in Netherlands. Applicants must hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans. The AES is a full scholarship of € 25,000 covering tuition and living expenses for one academic year, with the possibility of extension for a second year for two-year Master’s programmes. University of Amsterdam offers merit scholarships for master’s students in Netherlands. Scholarships are provided in the field of law. Outstanding students from outside the European Economic Area can apply for Amsterdam Merit Scholarships. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of scholarships that can be awarded, only the most outstanding candidates will be awarded a scholarship. The scholarship consists of either € 6000, € 9000 or € 12.000. In the first month of study the student will be paid €1000. The remainder of the scholarship will be paid in 12 monthly installments. International Space University MSc Scholarship Program in France, 2014/15

International Space University is offering financial aid to MSc students who are unable to cover all of their tuition fees. UK Department for International Development (DFID) offers Commonwealth Scholarships for developing countries’ students for pursuing Master’s, PhD and split-site (PhD) degree level at UK Universities. Approximately 300 scholarships are awarded each year. The CSC invites around three times more nominations than scholarships available – therefore, nominated candidates are not guaranteed to get a scholarship. Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) is funding International Climate Protection Fellowships for Non European and developing countries’ applicants. Up to 20 International Climate Protection Fellowships are granted annually for a period of one year in Germany. Fellowships are available for prospective leaders to conduct a research-based project in the field of climate protection and climate-related resource conservation during a one-year stay in Germany. INSA JRD-Tata Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries in India, 2014

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) offers fellowship programme for developing countries in India. It covers short-term, participatory research studies in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at premier research institutions in India. Applicants possessing Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Medicine and allied disciplines, candidates below 45 years of age may apply. IBM PhD Fellowships for International Students, 2014/15

The Humboldt Foundation grants up to 80 Georg Forster Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers from developing and emerging countries (except China and India). Fellowship is awarded to conduct a self-selected, long-term research project (6-24 months) in cooperation with a self-selected academic host at a research institution in Germany. Applicants must have completed PhD or comparable academic degree (PhD, C.Sc. or equivalent), for no more than four years the date of application. University of Cambridge is offering two conservation leadership scholarships for the MPhil Programme in Conservation Leadership. Applicants from less developed and developing countries are eligible for this MPhil scholarship. The number and size of the scholarships varies from full scholarships, to partial scholarships that cover specific aspects of the funding package required by students. Nigerian Conservation Foundation (Chief S.L Edu Research Grant )

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation with support from Chevron Nigeria Limited offers research grants to Nigerian citizens wishing to undertake research work in fields related to nature conservation and sustainable livelihood.  The grant shall be for three years leading to a PhD degree.

Institute of International Education offers international scholars program for US applicants to study abroad (except U.S. or Canada). Fellows (pre-doctoral) go abroad for one academic year (9-12 months) while scholars (post-doctoral) go abroad for one semester or up two academic years (24 months). This program sends young Biomedical Engineers, anywhere outside the U.S. or Canada for conducting academic or scientific research in a university or laboratory or pursuing coursework at an academic institution.

2013/14 International Scholarships at Coventry University in UK

Coventry University offers international scholarships for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree level in the UK. Malaysian Government offers scholarship for postgraduate studies in Malaysia. The duration of the award is 36 months for PhD and between 12 to 24 months for Masters Programme. International students can apply for these scholarships. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must not be more than 45 years of age during application. Students must have a minimum of second class upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.5/4.0 at Bachelor Degree Level for Masters Degree program and for PhD programme must possess CGPA 3.5/4.0 or very good result at masters degree level in a similar field of intended PhD study. CIAPS Commonwealth Scholarships for Postgraduate Study in Nigeria, 2013/14

CIAPS is offering commonwealth scholarships for one-year postgraduate study at CIAPS in 2013-14. Scholarships are available for Commonwealth citizens or the residents in a developing Commonwealth country. Applicants must hold a first degree of at least upper second-class standard or higher qualification. Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation is offering Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) for developing country applicants. The fellowship is available for master’s, PhD and short courses. Students must be a national of, and working and living in one of the countries in the NFP country list valid at the time of application. If for whatever reason a candidate stays in another country other than his or her home country for more than 90 days before the start of the course and/ or programme, he or she is not considered to be living and working in his or her home country. Nuffic receives thousands of fellowship applications each year. Only a small percentage of these applications are eventually granted a fellowship. Application should be submitted till 1^St October 2013.
