Mo Ibrahim Foundation
is funding three full-time GDAI – MA scholarships at SOAS, University of
London in UK. Applicants of Africa countries are eligible for this MSc
scholarship. One year funding covers fees, accommodation and living cost

Eligibility:-In
order to be considered for funding, applicants must first secure a
place for the MSc by applying directly to the SOAS admissions office.
-Domicile/Residency: Applicants must be domiciled (or permanent
residents) in an African country. Preference will be given to
scholarship candidates living in Sub Saharan Africa.
-Eligible Programmes: MSc (Fulltime) undertaken by scholarship applicants must directly address or be applicable to the issue of Governance in Africa.
Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: African students can apply for this MSc scholarship.
Scholarship Description:
The Centre of African Studies offers 3 MSc scholarships to African
residents as part of the Governance for Development in Africa Initiative
funded by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.
Number of award(s): Three MSc scholarships per year for African students.
Duration of award (s): The duration of the scholarship is one year.
What does it cover? The scholarship provides for Fees, for accommodation and living cost for the year.
Selection Criteria:
Candidates will be assessed on academic merit by a panel consisting of
SOAS academic members. The assessment of your application will be based
on the information in your scholarship application. The selectors will
be looking at the following: academic achievement and evidence of
critical analytical capabilities; references; supporting statement;
evidence of interest in and knowledge of linkage between governance and development.
Notification: The
Advisory Panel expects to have made a final decision on the Mo Ibrahim
Foundation MSc Scholarships by May of each year. All scholarship
candidates will be notified about the outcome of their application.
