Africa’s Land and Food Masters Fellowship Programme in UK, 2014/15

African Fellowship Trust is funding Africa’s Land and Food Masters Fellowship Programme at Royal Agricultural University in UK. Ten fellowships is awarded each year which covers tuition fees, board and accommodation, airfare, incidental costs. Applicants from sub-Saharan African countries are eligible for this master’s fellowship. Electronic application should be submitted by 3rd January 2014.

ECA Fellowship for Young African Professionals, 2013

ECA is inviting applications from qualified young African Professionals in the area of new technologies, including ICTs in the context of new technologies for Development. Applicants from United Nations Economic Commission for Africa member states are eligible for this fellowship. Fellowship covers monthly stipend, airfare. Duration of fellowship is of six months. CBA-Chevening Scholarship for Commonwealth Developing Countries in UK, 2014/15

The CBA and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office are offering bursaries for postgraduate media courses at City University London, the University of East Anglia and the University of Westminster. Eligible candidates will be full-time staff of CBA’s member organisations (full members and affiliates) and from developing countries in the Commonwealth. Three scholarships are offered for the duration of one year to study at City University London, the University of East Anglia and the University of Westminster. The Scholarships cover tuition fees and accommodation and subsistence. Returned airfare must be paid by the member organization. Online application must be submitted by 1 November 2013.

International Climate Protection Fellowships for Developing Countries in Germany, 2014

Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) is funding International Climate Protection Fellowships for Non European and developing countries’ applicants. Up to 20 International Climate Protection Fellowships are granted annually for a period of one year in Germany. Fellowships are available for prospective leaders to conduct a research-based project in the field of climate protection and climate-related resource conservation during a one-year stay in Germany. Funding covers fellowship amount per month which includes a mobility lump sum and a contribution towards health and liability insurance. Online application will be submitted by 15 March 2014.

INSA JRD-Tata Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries in India, 2014

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) offers fellowship programme for developing countries in India. It covers short-term, participatory research studies in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at premier research institutions in India. Applicants possessing Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Medicine and allied disciplines, candidates below 45 years of age may apply. The fellowship covers return airfare from place of work in their home country to place of work in India, boarding and lodging at the affiliated institution/s, and an adequate allowance in Indian currency to cover incidental expenses.

IBM PhD Fellowships for International Students, 2014/15

IBM annually awards PhD fellowships to exceptional PhD students who have an interest in solving problems that are important to IBM and fundamental to innovation in many academic disciplines and areas of study. Fellowships are awarded worldwide to the students of all nationalities. Fellows are awarded a stipend for one academic year. Fellows are strongly encouraged to participate in at least one internship at IBM while completing their studies. Students must be nominated by a doctoral faculty member and enrolled full-time in a college or university PhD program, to be eligible for the fellowship. Application deadline is October 29, 2013.

Agip Nigeria Postgraduate Scholarship 2013/2014 Award Scheme

The 2013/2014 Agip Nigeria Post Graduate Scholarship Award Scheme has started accepting applications from interested and qualifies applicants for the session mentioned above.
Nigeria Agip Exploration Limited (NAE), on behalf of the NNPC/NAE/OANDO PSC, is committed to the training and development of manpower as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
In pursuance of this, NAE invites applications from suitably qualified and interested Nigerian graduates for the 2013/2014 Post Graduate Scholarship Award Scheme. The award is in two categories – Nigerian and Overseas.

2014/2015 PTDF Scholarships for Nigerian Students

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a Parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources established by Decree 25 of 1973 for the purposes of development, promotion and implementation of petroleum technology and manpower needs through research and training of Nigerians. The scholarships are offered to undergraduate, master and PhD students to study at the universities in Nigeria and abroad. The scholarships are offered in the field of Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, Management, Economics and relevant fields. Selection will be based strictly on performance in the aptitude test and Oral Interview. Application deadline is 23rd October, 2013 for the 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 applicants.

Georg Forster Research Fellowship (HERMES) for Developing Countries in Germany, 2014

The Humboldt Foundation grants up to 80 Georg Forster Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers from developing and emerging countries (except China and India). Fellowship is awarded to conduct a self-selected, long-term research project (6-24 months) in cooperation with a self-selected academic host at a research institution in Germany. Applicants must have completed PhD or comparable academic degree (PhD, C.Sc. or equivalent), for no more than four years the date of application. Applications may be submitted any time from 1.7.2013 until mid-2015.

Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students at Kingston University in UK, 2014

Kingston University offers postgraduate scholarships for international students in the UK. These scholarships are open to prospective full-time postgraduates in any subject area on a one-year taught masters degree based at Kingston University. University offer awards totaling £200,000 every year, with each international scholarship worth £3,500. Applicants must have an offer of a place on a course at Kingston for 2013/14 entry and not currently be registered on an undergraduate or postgraduate course at Kingston University. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. The application deadline is 18 November 2013.

Master’s Scholarships for International Students at University of Bern in Switzerland, 2014/15

University of Bern is offering  master’s scholarships for foreign students. Six outstanding foreign students are eligible for monthly financial support for the duration of a master’s programme. The Master Grant is awarded for all programmes offered by the University of Bern with the exception of Biomedical Science. The monthly payment is 1’600 Swiss Francs (for further information on costs of living in Switzerland). The Grant is first awarded for a period of 13 months starting 1st September 2014. Application should be submitted till 30th November 2013.

Conservation Leadership Scholarships for Developing Countries at University of Cambridge, UK 2014

University of Cambridge is offering two conservation leadership scholarships for the MPhil Programme in Conservation Leadership. Applicants from less developed and developing countries are eligible for this MPhil scholarship. The number and size of the scholarships varies from full scholarships, to partial scholarships that cover specific aspects of the funding package required by students. Scholarship selection criteria are academic quality, motivation and potential of candidates to become conservation leaders; and, the funds for course. Application deadline is 3 December 2013.

Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) for Overseas Applicants in Australia, 2014

Adelaide Scholarships International are available in the four scholarship rounds to outstanding international applicants from any country. Scholarships are available for pursuing two years for a Masters degree by Research and three years for a Doctoral research degree at the University of Adelaide. Applicants have a first class honours result or equivalent, to support their study towards a Higher Degree by Research. Awards are available in all Discipline areas. Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and research potential. The application deadline is 30 November 2013 for Round 2.

Merit Scholarship for International Students at Curtin University in Australia, 2014

Curtin University offers Merit Scholarship for International Students in Australia. Scholarship is provided in the faculty of business, health sciences, humanities and science & engineering. This scholarship is available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree level. Applicants must be citizens of Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Zambia or Zimbabwe. Students cannot apply for this scholarship if they are a recipient of or have applied for any other Curtin University scholarship. The scholarship will provide 25% of the first year tuition fee, up to a maximum of AUD$10,000. The application deadline is February 14, 2014.
